Hello again,

I am currently working in a new environment with the Stretch robot 3, where the lab is quieter and the lighting is better. The first thing I want to do is write code, or use existing code, if available, to shut down the robot and direct it to move to and dock at the docking station. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this.

Hi @Mallak_Alqaisi,

We have a repository that may serve as a starting point for your development:

[stretch\_docking repository](https://github.com/hello-robot/stretch_docking)

The code was developed and tested internally on Stretch 3, but it remains research/development code and may require additional tuning and validation for your specific robot and environment. Factors such as lighting, floor surface, and docking station variation can affect performance.

Since you’ve mentioned that your current environment has better lighting, it may be a good opportunity to evaluate whether the repository meets your needs. We’re happy to answer questions and provide guidance as you explore it.

Best,
Jason
