# Stretch\_funmap not working

Hi @AswinGururaj,

One option would be for you to [move to ROS Noetic](https://github.com/hello-robot/stretch_ros/tree/dev/noetic). FUNMAP seems functional there and we’re actively improving it. It’s what I use.

Installing Noetic takes some time and care. You could look at the [the installation guide](https://github.com/hello-robot/stretch_ros/blob/dev/noetic/install_noetic.md) to see what’s involved.

In addition to working for me, @smth described his experience with FUNMAP in ROS Noetic [in a helpful forum post](https://forum.hello-robot.com/t/funmap-on-noetic/302).
