I had some similar issues (on an RE1) in the past, maybe some of the discussion in this forum post could help?
For me, running RE1_dynamixel_id_scan.py /dev/hello-dynamixel-wrist --baud 115200
failed, but scanning for the head motors still worked.
Things we tried, in order:
- We checked my Stretch params, user params, and hello robot library versions
- We replaced the dynamixel cables in the wrist assembly
- We replaced the WACC board in the robot’s wrist
