Stretch RE2 – Arm Not Extending & Gripper Not Closing (Broken 3D-Printed Parts)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a couple of issues with our Stretch robot and wanted to ask for advice.

The arm is stiff and won’t extend. When I opened it up, the 3D-printed bearings looked broken (photos attached).

The gripper also isn’t closing all the way because a plastic piece seems to be broken.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

  • Can the arm bearings be replaced easily?

  • Any tips for fixing or replacing the gripper part?
