It seems like the issue comes from a missing map frame; when I inspect the tf tree I don’t see the frame, but there are messages being published to the map topic. Is there something else I should be running in addition to the commands in the tutorial to create this frame?
Hi @michelllepan, welcome to the forum! Have you tried the Getting Started tutorial on Nav2 already? It’s similar, but more up-to-date, than the tutorial you’ve linked to.
Thanks for linking the updated tutorial, though I believe the part I was following is mostly unchanged in the new version and contains the same commands.
For our use case we ended up only needing SLAM and not the other navigation capabilities, which is working fine with the current navigation stack!
