Battery Replacement Options for a Stretch RE2 Upgraded to RE3

Hello,

I have a Stretch RE2 that was upgraded to RE3 using the official upgrade kit. Recently, the batteries have been discharging much faster than before, so I am considering replacing them.

I am located in South Korea, and because of time constraints, I would prefer to replace the batteries locally rather than send the robot in for refurbishment .

Could you please confirm the followin g?

1. Is the original battery used in the Stretch RE2 the Power-Sonic PS-1290 F2?

2. Does it use the F2 6.35 mm termi nal?

3. Would it be safe to replace the original batteries with two identical batteries of one of the following mo dels?

· Two Rocket ES9-12 F2 batteries manufactured by Sebang Global B attery

· Two CSB HR1234W F2 ba tteries

· Two LEOCH DJW12-9.0 T2/F2 b atteries

· Two LONG WP1236W F2 batteries

All of these appear to be 12 V, approximately 9 Ah, sealed AGM/VRLA batteries with similar physical d imensions.

If using a third-party replacement battery is acceptable, which model or specifications would you recommend? Are there any important requirements regarding the terminal type, battery dimensions, terminal orientation, discharge characteristics, internal resistance, weight, or charging com patibility?

I understand that both batteries should be replaced at the same time using identical batteries, preferably from the same produ ction batch.

I would also appreciate any additional information related to battery replacem ent, such as:

· The recommended battery replace ment procedure

· Safety precautions when disconnecting and reconnectin g the batteries

· The correct connection or der and polarity

· Whether any fuse, cable, connector, or battery mounting parts sh ould be inspected

· Whether the existing charger can be used with the rep lacement batteries

· Whether the batteries should be fully charged before installation or after installation

· Any diagnostic commands or tests recommend ed after replacement

· Whether any battery reset, calibration, firmware setting, or software conf iguration is required

· Any other maintenance recommendations that may help prevent prematu re battery degradation

Thank you for your help.
