Hello everyone. We’ve had a few inquiries about the cliff sensors. We’ve added a section to the documentation which describes their use.
Cliff sensors may require re-calibration depending on the surface you are using Stretch on. Otherwise they may incorrectly report a detected cliff. We’ve added a calibration tool to Stretch Factory.
To use the tool first pull down the latest version of the package (>0.0.13). Then run the script with Stretch on the surface it will be working on:
>>$ pip2 install hello-robot-stretch-factory >>$ RE1_cliff_sensor_calibrate.py
