Moonlight Wireless Connection Inconsistency

I have set up Moonlight on my Stretch 2, but when I boot it up and try to connect it to my computer it is very hit or miss whether it will appear as available to connect to on my computer. Even when I go in and re add the Stretch on my Moonlight it is unreliable. Has anyone else come across this problem or knows of a fix for this?

Hi @allib, do you have a dummy HDMI dongle connected in the HDMI port of the robot?

I do! I’m not sure what the issue is. Sometimes it is able to connect right away and others it doesn’t connect at all.

I’m not sure if the issue is the networking between Moonlight and the robot, or trouble with the Sunshine (Moonlight’s server) service on the robot. Next time you see the issue, you might try:

  1. Double checking that your computer and the robot are connected to the same LAN
  2. Running systemctl status --user sunshine to confirm the service is running okay. A normal status output should look something like

It has been connecting well the last couple times I used it, hopefully my issues have gone away.
